Overview

An active and experienced collaborator and delivery partner. Essex County Council has previously both led and been a delivery partner on multiple INTERREG projects. Currently ECC is a Partner on SPONGE 2020 (2016-2020) an Interreg 2 Seas Programme 5 (2014 – 2020) Project ECC's Environment Team led on two Interreg 2 Seas Projects (Interreg 4: 2007 – 2013) - Maxigreen (2 seas) project dealt with Green Infrastructures - Floodcom (2 Seas) project dealt with Flooding Expertise Currently ECC is a Delivery Partner on a European Regional Development Fund / South East Local Enterprise Partnership Project Low Carbon in the South East – LoCASE (2016-2019) Environmental Strategy: ECC's Strategic Environment team aim's to build and maintain a strategic plan of multiple-benefit projects spanning the following themes: Low Carbon Economy, Carbon Management, Renewable Technologies, Energy Efficiency, Climate Resilience, Community and Business Adaptation, Green Infrastructure, Ecosystem Management, Coastal, Rivers, and Sustainable Transport. Local, national, European and International collaboration for delivery of high impact projects for the benefit of Essex residents, businesses and wider environment, with a particular focus on the Commissioning Strategy: People in Essex experience a high quality and sustainable environment.
