The future of Cohesion Policy beyond 2020
What will Europe’s Cohesion Policy look like after 2020? This key question is being discussed more intensively among EU funding protagonists as current programmes are half way in their delivery.
Last month, the Committee of the Regions (CoR) has officially shared an opinion on the post-2020 cohesion policy.
The CoR agreed to continue in distinguishing 3 categories of regions according to their degree of development. It also emphasised that all regions should be able to benefit from the funding and that the available budget should remain on the same level as for the current period.
