Overview

The National Trust is Europe's largest heritage and conservation NGO. Within the UK, we own over 250,000ha of heritage land - including 1,250Km of heritage coast, 29,500 heritage buildings, 7 World Heritage Sites. We have over 5.0m members, 6,600 paid staff and 65,000 regular volunteers. We are also the UK's largest farmer and provider of tourist attractions. Our highest priorities include: developing natural solutions to coastal sea level rise; landscape scale conservation; catchment management plans; natural solutions to address flooding and drought; habitat and species restoration; reducing dependency on fossil fuels; improving visitor engagement with heritage and facilitating sustainable tourism.
