Overview

IGEMO is an inter-municipal/communal association. It is set up by 11 towns and communes in Flanders (province of Antwerp) and has a surface of 385 km² and a total number of inhabitants approximately. 270.000 inhabitants). The 11 towns and communes are: Berlaar, Bornem, Bonheiden, Duffel, Lier, Mechelen, Putte, Puurs, Sint-Amands, Sint-Katelijne-Waver en Willebroek. The object of IGEMO is “The promotion of sustainable development through coherent policy areas, taking into account the ecological, social and economic aspects”. Our mission is to implement the task and assignment entrusted to us in an efficient and expert manner to the satisfaction of our clients and to make a meaningful contribution to a sustainable local policy in the area of development of the region, paying attention to social, ecological and economic aspects.
