WVI is an intermunicipal association working for 54 municipalities in West Flanders and the province of West Flanders. WVI develops and manages business parks / Industrial estates, realises housing projects and gives the municipalities advice concerning spatial and mobility planning and environment, nature, climate and energy. WVI is regional coordinator for the Covenant of Mayors and is now writing energy action plans and baseline measurements for 29 municipalities. WVI is also regional coordinator for the Flemish energy loans for 36 municipalities.

Sustainable housing and business park / Industrial estate development taking into account energy, water, material use, biodiversity, ..; Develop and use the Business Improvement District concept for the management of Industrial estates; Develop a long term strategic plan for the use / re-use / purchase and sale of municipal properties; New ways to plan existing housing projects to densify these projects with the aim to use less greenfield development for housing.
