Overview

We will demonstrate pilot water treatment technologies in a modular and transportable form (containers) to test in parallel at different food processing industries (breweries, vegetable processing, meat processing, …) in the 2seas area. Two containers will be constructed: a MBR and a UF-RO installation. In each container we will add on relevant additional technologies like softeners, activated carbon, or others that increase treatment efficiency, water quality and/or decrease energy and chemicals use. In addition to technological innovation, we will also focus on formulating policy advice for the reuse of water in the food (processing) sector.
