SCIFI call: open data for smart cities

Up to €300bn of value is locked up in public data. The Smart City Innovation Framework Implementation (SCIFI) aims to unlock this value through public and private collaboration by being an accelerator programme for open data city challenges. This week, SCIFI has launched the open call for seven different challenges in the fields of energy, environment and mobility. We would like to invite both organisations and cities to join SCIFI.

For startups, students and companies  SCIFI has identified 7 challenges (see below). The call for these challenges is open from 2 July 2018 until 2 October 2018.  Read more about the challenges and how to apply.

Here is the list of the 7 challenges identified in the fields of energy, mobility and environment:

  • Efficient buildings
  • Cycling
  • Optimise use of city centre
  • De-icing prioritisation
