Did you know that more than 600 organisations receive ERDF support through the Interreg 2 Seas Program? These are organisations from the Netherlands, Belgium (Flanders), France and England that work together across borders.
In 1990, Interreg was developed as a Community Initiative with a budget of just EUR 1 billion covering exclusively cross-border cooperation. Later, Interreg has been extended to transnational (e.g. Interreg North-West Europe) and interregional (Interreg Europe) cooperation.
Interreg 2 Seas, Interreg North-West Europe and Interreg Europe gladly introduce the video produced for Interreg’s 30th anniversary. For this special occasion, the programmes invite people, organisations and regions to share their Interreg stories.
The Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) - in cooperation with the Border Focal Point at the EU Commission’s DG REGIO - is launching a “call for expression of interest” for legal experts with knowledge of cross-border matters.
